Sparks starts pushing a new, "mostly kelp" energy pill that proves to be highly addictive. Murphy becomes instantly more cheerful, Stormy becomes much smarter, and can meditate mid-air, Marco can do pullups from the ceiling, and Debbie can bend metal and refused to eat. Quinn initially becomes suspicious of the unnatural strength of the rest of the crew, and does some research, learning the pills also contain toxins from a fish, leading to the addictions. However, Sparks shoots him with a dose of the pill, leading Quinn to become addicted as well.
As the crew's addictions worsen to the point that they become zombie-like, Sparks flees Sealab, as it disintegrates.
